We believe that every diver should be a Rescue Diver. The Rescue Diver course is the first course where you become aware of the divers around you, making you the best dive buddy to have. Not only will you be the top choice dive buddy in your group, but you will also be confident in your new skills to assist others, anticipate potential problems and prevent emergencies from happening!
The PADI Rescue Diver course is the pivotal moment when a diver becomes more than a regular dive buddy. Rescue Diver students are taught advanced self-rescue skills and are challenged to handle stressful situations underwater. As a Rescue Diver you are taught how to work as a team to accomplish underwater searches, underwater rescues, and surface rescues. The big finale of the Rescue Diver course are two scenarios that challenge the Rescue Divers to use all their skills and act as a team to accomplish diver rescues. Throughout the course, you will learn to prevent and manage problems in the water and become more confident in your skills as a diver. The PADI Rescue Diver course is one of the most challenging yet rewarding courses you will ever take.
PADI (Junior) Adventure Divers who are at least 12 years old and have completed the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive may enroll in a Rescue Diver course. You also need to have: Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the past 24 months.
